The board of Aurivo Co-operative Society has this week elected its chairman and vice chairman for 2016/18. Pat Duffy was elected as the chairman of the co-operative and Raymond Barlow was elected vice chairman. Pat Duffy is a dairy farmer from Gortletteragh, Leitrim. He holds a diploma in corporate direction (food business) from UCC and has been a member of the Aurivo board since 2002, serving as vice chairman for six years from 2008 to 2014. Raymond Barlow is also a dairy farmer and is from Riverstown, Sligo. Mr Barlow joined the Aurivo board in 2014.

Mayo based company Portwest, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of personal protective clothing and equipment has announced the creation of 55 new jobs. Over the next four years, staff levels will increase from 75 to 130 at its head office in Westport, Co Mayo.
